Carnival in Georgetown

A joyous time in Georgetown, Exumas.

* I am posting this after a long time, even though it looks like I am describing a current day.

Today has been a fun day. We went to the carnival festival in Georgetown. I have posted pictures of the parade and people dressed in fancy costumes. The cruiser community in Georgetown Harbor is active. Every morning, there is a broadcast on Ch. 72 in which someone goes through several items, including announcements of new arrivals and departures from the area, community announcements, exchanges, and planned communal activities. That is a good source of knowledge for both newbies and repeat visitors. We heard of this festival on the morning announcement and decided to go for it. I am glad we went. It is a unique experience. There, we met many interesting fellow boaters.
